New Year's Special

We will be live New Year's Eve up until midnight, so you'll be able to watch the ball drop in Times Square with us Wednesday night.

We're going to talk about some great games from the year 2008, so you'll be able to see that, as well as a possible 24 hour broadcast by Jacen13. He hasn't confirmed this yet.

Mother 3 :(

I just want everyone to know that I will no longer be treating Mother 3 gameplay as a project. I may still do them, but you won't see them very often. If you've subscribed to me on Youtube, you may see it every once in a while. But it's just because it's become too difficult to try and do every week. I just don't have the time to.

But I want to thank you for your patience and I'll try to put something up in place of it soon.

Mother 3 Fan Translation

I know it has been taking forever for the next part of the Mother 3 Fan Translation to come out. I have part 2 uploaded and 3 ready to be uploaded, but I'm having some difficulty uploading it to Youtube, though.

I am also currently working in the next parts in the series, but it could be a while before I get part 3 up, just so you know.

I will tell you, of course, when it is uploaded.

Show Updates

I am getting a capture card for Christmas, so you can expect a larger portion of our show to be spent actually playing the video games rather than talking about them. When I get the card, we'll be able to broadcast the content from it so you can see us playing on the screen instead of me just putting a camera up to the television.

We'll be playing games like Halo 3 (a LOT), Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and possibly Call of Duty 4. I don't know about CoD 4 yet, I haven't asked if anyone has it yet, but we may.

But that's something you can expect after Christmas. It'll also mean that our reviews will be in higher quality.

But I thank all the people who are regularly on our show each week for being there and we hope you enjoy it!

NO Ustream Change

Well, we are NOT chaging to Ustream. The show will remain on blogtv from now on. So tonight at 11pm EST, you can see the show LIVE on blogtv as always.

I will be deleting the show from Ustream soon, but for those who may go there tonight, I have embedded a player for blogtv on the ustream show page. That's only for this weekend, however.

Also, tonight on the show, I am doing a review of The Orange Box. It will be a short one, because there won't be any gameplay from it. But you can look forward to that tonight.

Ustream Change

I have considered changing the player of our show from blogtv to ustream for technical reasons like viewer numbers. Ustream has more people using it, so we'll have a better constituency.

The show's content will remain the same. Nothing about the show will be different, other than the website you're on while viewing it.

A good thing about ustream: You still don't have to make an account to enter the chat, and now, you can enter the chat directly from my myspace profile.

I may consider using both players, but I'm not sure I have enough network bandwidth to broadcast to two places at once.

The show will be at the same time, but different place. This is just an experiment to see if it works. We may just continue using blogtv after tonight.

But the show tonight will be on ustream. I will embed a player on my myspace and on the blogtv show page, and I will get back to you with the web address.

Updates on Mother 3

The new Mother 3 Gameplay videos are going to be up tomorrow! YAY!

Parts 2 and 3 will be available on my Youtube page and here on this blog. You can also expect them to be released more frequently as well.

I know I haven't been posting anything recently because I've been really busy these past few weeks. But I may even have part 4 up by the time the weekend is over.

I'm going to try to start posting things here a little more frequently from now on if I can.

As for this weekend, nobody's coming over, so I may be doing a review of Half-Life 2 this weekend, if Josh doesn't have any ideas. Blake sometime in the next couple of weeks will possibly be doing his review of Bioshock and talking about the ideas of Bioshock 2.

But the plans for this weekend are still unsure. As always, you can keep yourself updated here.

Mother 3 Gameplay

I know I haven't been uploading any Mother 3 Gameplay videos lately because of school. But we're out of school next week for Thanksgiving, so you can expect several to be uploaded during that time.

I am going to try to upload all of Chapter 1 and start working on Chapter 2 this week.

The Show This Weekend

This weekend we're reviewing two games: Gears of War 2 and Knights of the Old Republic 2. Both will be done by Josh.

This was originally changed from a plan to do a single review on Eternal Sonata for the Xbox 360. Josh was going to rent Eternal Sonata, but he saw Gears of War 2 and couldn't resist.

We'll probably review Eternal Sonata sometime in the near future.

New Schedule

I have decided not to do the show on Tuesday nights due to a lack of audience, so the show is now just on Fridays and Saturdays at 11pm/10c.

Also, on the show this weekend, we will possibly be broadcasting from B.J.'s house, it all depends on whether or not he plans to have friends over this weekend. But on the show, we plan to look at a game, called Baten Kaitos Origins, that got passed over, so to speak, and didn't really get a chance in the spotlight. But it's still a really good game, in my opinion, and you'll get a chance to see the review this weekend. Even if you miss it, we will still record it and post it here.

If we do the show at B.J.'s house this weekend, you can expect a lot of multiplayer Halo 3 on Xbox Live, but if not, you can still expect the Baten Kaitos Origins review.

Daytime Broadcasting

Tomorrow, we're all out of school for Veterans' Day, so I figure I'll be able to do some Blogtv broadcasting during the daytime. I'm not going to put a schedule on it, however, it'll just be on sometime around midday for about an hour and a half, so look for it. I will still be on at 9/8c tomorrow night.

I will probably have Josh the Irish gamer on, too. He doesn't have a microphone though, and you can't hear him, so I'll be on the phone with him.

But watch for us!

As for the show coming up this weekend, there is a strong possibility that we'll be broadcasting from B.J.'s house, and we're still deciding on what games to review this weekend. But as always, you can see our news updates here.

The Show Tomorrow

The only news for today is that it has been confirmed that the show will be at Blake's house this weekend, and Josh the Irish gamer will be there in person.

Like I stated in the previous post, we're going to look at Fable 2 on the show this week. Also, this week we'll have Halo 3 because we'll have an Xbox this time.

The Souper Banana still can't be made this weekend because we don't have a banana suit for Adam to wear. We will probably make some other videos, though. I will post an update about those at a later date.

But that's all the news for this week. Saturday, we'll show off some of the videos we made. The show will be tomorrow at 11pm/10c. You can see the widget in the side bar.

Election Day Special

I have recently decided to regularly do the show on Tuesday nights at 9pm/8c and Friday nights at 11pm/10c along with Saturday nights. And the first Tuesday night show happens to be on Election Day.

Today's show is primarily going to be focused on the election. We're going to watch updates and possibly see who wins, McCain or Obama.

I've also got Josh the Irish gamer coming on the show to talk about Fable 2 (or how much he wants it, more like) and Gears of War 2, which is coming out this Friday. We may also have Blake Tanner, but I have not confirmed it.

Mostly, the show tonight will cover the election, and I'll regularly talk about updates in the election.

But anyway, show starts at 8pm Central time. Hope to see you there!

The Show Tomorrow

The plan for the show tomorrow is not very big. Josh the Irish Gamer should be coming on the show and we'll play some Brawl, Guitar Hero III, things like that.

We will also cover some of the election. I don't think we'll be broadcasting long enough to find out who wins, so that is up to you.

The show tomorrow night should only last about an hour because it's in the middle of the week, but we'll try to fit in some time for Half-Life 2.

The Show Last Night

Last night on the show we looked at Mother 3 in English, I co-hosted with B.J. while he played Half-Life 2, and we took some friend codes for Brawl and Mario Kart.

Josh Vintson was unable to co-host with me this weekend, but he said he'll try again next weekend.

Also, on the Mother 3 segment of the show, there was an audio recording problem, so I will remove that video sometime today and upload a new one sometime later in the week.

Later in the week I will also write the review for the English patch on Mother 3.

We will also, on a future show, possibly make a walkthrough for Mother 3 and upload it on Youtube. I will post an update on the show next weekend on plans or that.

The show went fairly well, however; we had several new viewers and we exchanged some friend codes.

I also maybe planning on doing the show on another day along with Saturday, possibly Wednesday nights. But I will update news about that i we decide to do it.

Update on The Souper Banana

Well, we looked everywhere, and there is absolutely no store left anywhere near where I live that sells a banana suit. So we will not be making the Souper Banana this weekend. Better luck next time, I suppose.

I guess we have one hope left, and that is if Blake brings a banana suit. That probably won't happen though.

But we're still doing the show tonight, so be there or be square! At 10 pm.

Halloween Special: The Souper Banana

Our first broadcast will be on the same weekend as Halloween, obviously. So we plan to do something special. Like I stated in the previous post, we would be making our new movie, The Souper Banana, if Adam brings his banana suit. If we do get the chance to make it this weekend, it will be posted on Youtube under Blake's account, jtibbsproductions.

The Souper Banana is a sequel to our previous comedic commercial, The Happy Koala. It features Adam Melat as the Souper Banana, and all the other actors involved in the making of the Happy Koala.

Agenda for the First Show

I just found out tonight that my co-host, Blake Tanner, will be about 30 minutes late for the show because of Trumbauer Festival.

Besides that, the agenda for our first episode includes looking at the new, complete English version for Mother 3, someting Earthbound fans have waited so long for. Then we'll head over to the PC to play Portal and Half-Life 2. B.J. will also use the developer's console to activate cheats within the game. He is going to show us how to make Gordon Freeman fly around and shoot Dr. Breen in the head!

We'll also play some online games like Halo 3, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii. You can exchange friend codes in the chat.

We're also going to talk about the new machinima series Red Vs. Blue: Reconstruction.

We may also have my friend Josh Vintson join us as an online co-host. (He is somewhat Irish)

The Dark Room First Broadcast

The first show will just be getting used to things, as there will probably not be many people there. But this will give us a chance to interact with our audience more.

This show, The Dark Room, will basically be about new video games and what they're about. We talk about them, play them, and review them. We also take popular games with online capabilities, like Halo 3 or Mario Kart, and we can exchange friend codes using the chat function.

We plan on using games from the Wii, the Xbox360, and some for the PC. We may have other, older consoles, too, like the Xbox, PS2, and the Gamecube and N64. As this is a completely unfunded show, we cannot just go out and get the new game system when it comes out. We do not have a PS3.

But if you like video games, you'll love this show.

Like I said before, the first broadcast should be on Nov. 1st, but if it changes, I will let people know.
